(and our previous EP at Noisetrade, Sing Of This Love)

It's easy to talk about trusting God to direct things in your life, but much harder to take the step of handing over the reins. Trust is a collection of five more songs written in the year since TFM's previous release, Sing Of This Love. Inside you'll find possibly their most mature sounds and words yet.

Started in 2010

TFM grew spontaneously out of their church's youth band, based in Tunbridge Wells, UK.

Began songwriting

Inspired by bands such as Delirious? and Rend Collective Experiment, Andrew, Jack and later Ross turned their attention to writing songs that would serve the church in both a worship context and for personal devotion. Their aim is to write music accessible to everyone with unashamedly Christian lyrics.

Ok, but why "Third Floor Movement"?

The idea behind the name is rather basic: Hell = first floor, Earth = second floor, Heaven = third floor. ‘Movement’ was added to imply action as well as songs, but also (mostly) because it sounds cool.

Grew in size

Following some "God-prods", the band added Dave and Ross, eventually settling into the established four-piece format.

Developed a vision

We want to see people really engaging with the truth of the gospel and how it affects our day to day lives, through an artform which inspires us. We want to engage with creativity on a level that affirms that we're made in God's image.

We're committed to writing songs that serve the church in both worship and devotion, and we'd love you to use them in your church! Here are the chords and lyrics in PDF format.
